Volunteer opportunity: High School I/O

We are inviting EE/ECE Alumni to serve as mentors and judges. Judges’ time slot is 5–7:30 p.m. The mentors’ time slots are 10 a.m.–2 p.m. or 2–6 p.m., and they could be utilized to help teams troubleshoot problems, come up with creative solutions, but also we are looking for some short tech-talk/workshops on a specific item. (Such as, here is an arduino, here’s where you find and download Energia, and here’s how to light up a series of LEDs.)
It’s a science fair demo style and very friendly. The point isn’t to judge really, but to give positive reinforcement and suggestions for future work. But yes, there will be a few winners. This is an opportunity to volunteer and help contribute to the STEM message that is being reinforced.
